This year the Club Dinner was held on the 11th February with friends, family and members gathered at the Wensum Valley Hotel for dinner. For our entertainment Bob had arranged for the Indians to play for us. A good time was had with dancing and music after our meal.
This was then followed on April 10th with a visit to the Spring Fling at the Royal Norfolk Showground, this event is very hands on for adults and children, we like to think that we help to show how our equipment made its contribution to farming and agriculture in the past at this educational day.
We then took part at The Game and Country Fair at Euston Park on 28th 29th April, the weather was dire very cold and wet especially on Saturday, Sunday was bitterly cold. About 30 exhibits were on display, Peter and Nicky did a good job of organising us all. Our thanks and appreciation must go to the stationary engines owners who tirelessly ran their engines in the very inclement weather.
May Day bank holiday saw us take part at Stradsett where a few members put together some exhibits in the club stand area, our thanks go to Richard especially for manning, and providing the tea and coffee. Others members took part in the Mini Tractor Pulling Event. The weather for this event was hot, what a difference a week made.
Finally on April 21st 22nd the Eastern Counties Vintage Show took place at the Royal Norfolk Showground, this event had many stunning exhibits including rare vintage cars, amazing commercial lorries and trucks, as well as all the tractors, stationary engines, horses and other attractions. Our thanks to Roger, Fran and team for a lovely weekend.
