Our Summer Show this year was held at Spring Farm Felthorpe on 13th & 14th July by the kind invitation of Hannah and family, this venue gave spectacular views over the landscape, lots of large depressions in the ground which we believe to have been created during the Second World War. The tractors were arranged around these depressions and it made for a very different outlook. Once again most makes were represented from the very old to the very modern.
Stationary engines abounded, a very nice display from the Nice society, and of course everyone else exhibiting their engines provided a good display, horticultural exhibits and one or two quirky pieces made interesting viewing, this also included a small road roller.
The working field hosted a competition Plough day On Sunday, and both days saw the mini tractor pullers making much noise and dust!!!! The road making gang completed this line up, whilst others worked their equipment on both days just having fun. Classic and vintage cars and motorcycles always are very pleasing to view, we often forget how many makes and models have been made over the years.
Saturday evening saw a road run take place, followed by entertainment and raffle at the bar marquee.
Our thanks to all trade stands, exhibitors, helpers and everyone who made this event possible
