The Club began the new season with a stand at The Eastern Counties Vintage Tractor Show held at the Norfolk Showground. Good numbers of members had exhibits on show some of them having their first outing, others had their exhibits on various stands around the ground.
I will just mention that some of the Lady members had their tractors on the Pink Ladies Stand complete with various Pink decorations. It is a good feeling to know that we have helped to raise funds for Cancer Research at Annie's road run each year.
The weather was kind for this event in late March and the Tractor pulling certainly always had a good number of spectators.
We then had The Spring Fling at the Showground before Easter, this is a hands on day with education as the theme for children and adults alike, it is one of the few occasions that the children can have the experience of sitting on the tractors and implements and being able to have a different view of how they all work. As always there are many helpers to supervise this, and from the look of all the smiling faces the day was a success.
Finally at the end of April we were asked to attend The Game and Country Fair, this was the first time we have exhibited at this event and once again we put on a good display of Horticultural implements tractors and stationary engines. The weather was not quite so kind but Sunday turned out to be warm and sunny and lots of people looked at the exhibits. We hope that the organisers were pleased with our effort, we certainly enjoyed the weekend.
