Club Dinner and Plough Sunday
The year started with Dinner and Dancing at The Wensum Valley Hotel on the 5th January. It is always nice to get together for an occasion where we can dress up and get away from oil and overalls. This year we were entertained by The Lee Vasey Band who supplied good music, if at times a trifle loud! Our food as in previous years was excellent and our thanks go to the Hotel staff for their excellent service. We must also give big thanks to Bob for organising the whole event. Sunday 13th January took us to Norwich Cathedral to take part in their Plough Sunday celebrations, approximately 10 tractors with ploughs took part along with other ploughs inside the cathedral, age ranging from 1930 through to 2018, they made quite an impressive show as they paraded around The Close to come back to the Cathedral West Door to be blessed, a service of choral evensong The followed. Once again our thanks to the Dean and staff of Norwich Cathedral for this invitation to take part, and our thanks to everyone who has given their time to support this event.
