The Aylsham Show took place on Monday 31st August, what an awful day it turned out to be, grey skies and liquid sunshine greeted us when we awoke, even the setting up had not been without rain either, however in true style the show went ahead with a sea of wellingtons, wet weather gear and brollies!! My full admiration goes to those ladies and gentlemen who manned our stand all day in the rain, even the tea tent had a distinctive soggy feel to it.
It is a great shame that this was the second year in a row that the weather has not been kind and our sympathy is for all those who spend much time in the organisation of the show, it is such a joy when the weather is at least dry. Despite the rain there were still general public passing through and showing interest in the exhibits which were on show.
The road run on Sunday had a good turn out and at least the rain held off for the greater part of the day.
Looking forward the next event is at Newark Showground on November 7th and 8th followed by a charity Plough Day at Marsham on November 22nd.
Finally don't forget the Club Dinner is at The Wensum Valley Hotel, Taverham, Norwich on Saturday January 9th.
